We are now in that time of year when I will grill – or at least, try to – almost anything. But when using skewers, some food just isn’t toothsome enough to really grab hold, making the flipping of the skewers into a tormenting game of spin the food. Here’s a little tip that is so simple it’s almost embarrassing – use two skewers. If using wooden ones, make sure you soak first so they don’t burn on the grill, and then simply thread both ends of the item (shrimp are a prime example) on separate skewers. It makes the loaded skewers much easier to turn with lots less lost through the grates! This may also be the perfect way to roast a marshmallow!

Skew those unruly foods and let the grilling begin!
