Debbie Cook | D&B Garden Show

Debbie Cook and I go way back to the days when I was in the Master Garden program. She’s a talented gardener and arborist who contributes to the D&B Supply blog and also hosts an hour gardening radio show on local station KIDO each Saturday morning. I was thrilled to make my radio debut with Debbie on this show a couple months ago, talking all about the SNOW Block Alley, while helping answer a few gardening questions along the way.

D&B Garden Show

You can listen to the whole show below. Thank you so much Debbie for having me as a guest on your great show. Let’s do it again sometime!

Debbie Cook, Master Gardener and Certified Arborist, was joined by Linda Whittig on last week’s garden show. Linda is a freelance writer, a graphic designer, and also a contributor to the D&B Blog. Linda spearheaded the SNOW Block Alley Project in her neighborhood.

Linda’s love of gardening sent her in search of a sun-filled place to plant some blackberries. She discovered the sunniest place in her yard was on the side of her garage in the alley. The SNOW Block Alley Project soon began. You can read Linda’s story here:  SNOW Block Alley

Linda shares how her North end alley was soon transformed into a neighborhood garden and gathering place. The amount of resources Linda was able to tap and acquire is inspiring. Listen in to hear how this amazing journey began in a little Boise North end neighborhood and where it stands today.
